Background:
Parkinson Canada is pleased to provide travel awards to support exceptional trainees to attend globally-recognized conferences related to Parkinson’s Disease, so that they can present their research, further their education and participate in career-building activities.
Eligibility:
Eligibility can vary and is based on the purpose of the conference (see below). If an applicant falls outside of the stated eligibility guidelines for a given conference, we will consider applications from other individuals on a case-by-case basis. A maximum of 1 travel award will be given to members of the same lab or clinic for each meeting.
Award Value:
- $1,000 CAD per applicant will be awarded for conferences in North America.
- $1,500 CAD per applicant will be awarded for conferences outside of continental North America.
- Funds are intended to cover the costs of conference registration, transportation to the event, and/or accommodation. All other costs will not be considered.
