The Parkinson Canada Research Program funds research into the cure, cause, progression, improved treatment and/or understanding of Parkinson's disease, related disorders including Multiple System Atrophy (MSA), Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), other Parkinson's conditions and the impact these diseases have on society.
|Pilot Project Grants: This program intends to foster novel, high-potential projects and ideas with a trajectory for major grants with larger granting institutions. ||Up to $75,000 (1-year term)|
|New Investigator Awards: For junior faculty in a Canadian university in first 5 years of their career as a research scientist in Canada|| |
$45,000/year (3-year term)
|Postdoctoral Research Fellowships: A research fellowship for applicants with a doctorate (PhD or MD) who are primarily focused on conducting research into Parkinson's Disease.|| |
$45,000/year (2-year term)
|Clinical Movement Disorders Fellowships: A training award to encourage young clinicians to enter in into clinical training in the Movement Disorders subspecialty.|| |
$75,000/year (1-year term)
|Clinician Scientist Research Fellowships: A research fellowship award to support applicants conducting significant research into Parkinson's Disease while concurrently undergoing a clinical training program.|| |
$50,000/year (residents) or $75,000/year (clinical fellows); 2-year term
|Graduate Student Awards: An award for applicants pursuing a PhD program and conducting research related to Parkinson's Disease.|| |
